How You Can Help
GoodSearch: You Search...We Give! Go to www.goodsearch.com and enter HOPE Safehouse as your designated charity. Every time you search the Internet through the GoodSearch website, HOPE will receive a penny. GoodSearch is powered by Yahoo so you will get the same great results on all your searches.

You can also help HOPE receive money by shopping online. Go to www.goodsearch.com and locate the store you would like to shop and if you have HOPE as your charity we will receive a percentage of your sales. Don’t forget to check the coupons of your favorite stores that are listed on GoodSearch. HOPE can receive money from airline ticket purchases to pharmacy purchases to clothes purchases to pet supply purchases. Hundreds of stores you shop on the web everyday are on GoodSearch.

It really is easy to donate to HOPE just by shopping and searching the Internet. If you are concerned you might forget to go to the GoodSearch website, they have a toolbar you can download so every search will be counted.
Our critical need at this time is to pay down the vast amount of veterinary bills we incurred this year providing necessary and sometimes life-saving medical treatments to our critters. We rescued several dogs that tested Heartworm positive and treatment cost is very expensive, in some cases as much as $1000 per dog. Additionally, we’ve had major medical expenses on the majority of our intakes this year resulting from urgently needed extensive dental surgeries, treating serious traumatic wounds and caring for unvaccinated animals infected with Parvo and Distemper. With the economic downturn, our regular donations have been severely affected.

Your tax-deductible donation of any amount will enable us to meet this critical goal. Click here if you’d like to make a donation.
We still have quite a ways to go in raising money for the our shelter. Won’t you please help? We gladly accept donations in any amount. If you are interested in making a tax deductable donation to our building fund, please send your check or money order to:

H.O.P.E. Safehouse
1911 Taylor Avenue
Racine, WI 53403
Please note in the memo section that the donation is for the "new building fund".

Purchase one of our beautiful t-shirts, sweatshirts or some of the other merchandise available for sale. All proceeds from the sale of this merchandise benefits the animals and helps us defray costs associated with caring for them.
Volunteers
Volunteers are always needed in a variety of forms -

Foster Homes: Since all of our dogs and some of our cats are cared for in private foster homes, we are always in need of more foster homes. HOPE provides all food, medical care, crates, leashes, bowls, etc for any of our critters in foster care. The average time an adoptable critter might stay in your household can range from as short as 24 hours to as long as 5 years in one rare case --- The average time is about 3 months. If you have room in your heart and household, click here for dog foster application and click here for cat foster application.

Cat Caregivers: Most of our cats live at the HOPE office until they are adopted into loving homes. We need cat lovers to brush and play with cats, clip nails, feed and scoop litter boxes, and just generally give our cats lots of love and attention.

Fundraisers: HOPE holds fundraisers and adoption booths at Petco, Havahart and other places. We need volunteers to help staff these events.

HOPE Office: We often need help at our office – filing, computer work, answering phones and other special projects. If you have a special talent and can design flyers or brochures, or if you are really good at scooping poop (tee hee hee), we need you! If you have IT skills, we have computer issues from time to time that need resolving.

If you have a special interest, talent or can open your heart and home to a cat or dog needing some extra TLC before being adopted into their forever home, simply send us an e-mail or give us a call!
